Coastal Blues in Marblehead
A young family is what prompted the design and construction of this lovely new home. It was a glorious coastal location in Marblehead that inspired its elegant yet breezy interiors—featuring a soft, sand-sea-and-sky palette. Anita worked closely with the clients to bring their vision of a light and airy family-friendly home to life. That included space planning; the selection of interior finishes, colors, and materials; fabrics and floor coverings; window treatments; lighting; artwork and accessories—down to the last detail. Most of the furnishings were custom designed and fabricated. This project demonstrates the logical way in which Anita’s team works: First, they develop a conceptional design and prepare preliminary concepts for review. Next, they create a more comprehensive schematic plan that includes furnishings, lighting, color, materials and finishes. Then they select and/or commission specific furnishings. Once all structural plans and interior specifications are approved, they move on to purchase orders, implementation—and finally, installation, the stage where everything falls into place and the clients begin to live in their beautiful home.
