Entertaining for a Small Crowd
The clients loved their home in Swampscott, but they enjoyed entertaining too, and the 1,900-square-foot Cape was starting to feel too small. They were pondering a move when it was suggested that an addition could give them all the space they needed—and more livability. They decided to stay. They worked with an architect and kitchen designer who built the framework for their new, reconfigured home. Called in to do the interiors, Anita clicked with the homeowners immediately. She helped them choose classic and timeless finishes, floorcoverings, window treatments, decorative lighting and hardware. But her contributions to the project met their needs in many ways. They wanted a home that felt inviting but was durable, one that could withstand the wear and tear that comes with company (like red wine spilled on a beige sofa). So Anita helped them choose materials that would look elegant—and last. After hosting several parties, the homeowner called to report that everything was holding up beautifully, that she was pleased with all of the decisions they’d made—and couldn’t be happier.
