Goldwaithe Charm

This project is as close to Anita’s heart as one can get. It’s notable for its elegance and style, and the extraordinary timeframe in which it was competed. Anita designed this charmer for herself and her husband after they sold a much-larger residence nearby. She managed the entire design and construction process from drawing up plans to specifying millwork and finishes, fabrics and furnishings—and she did it all in five short months. The scaled-down home in an exclusive oceanfront neighborhood has distinctive architectural curb appeal. The floor plan was designed to be efficient and the rooms to be well-appointed. The main floor features an open layout comprising a gourmet kitchen, dining room, and living room and a separate master suite. Among its many amenities: a grand entry with paneled millwork, and a master bath with limestone vanities, soaking tub and steam shower. The second floor is spacious, welcoming, and private, the perfect quarters for family or out-of-town company; it includes a small home office with wet bar, storage closet and access to eaves for additional storage. Tailored to her taste and love of casual entertaining, Anita’s home is a classic example of designing spaces for the way people really live.
